LUMI (2017)
A compact desk lamp that finds balance between portability and functionality. Inspired by origami, the lamp unfolds to a crane to maximize its height.
Power
Lumi is powered by a rechargeable battery charged by a USB C connector located at the base. The battery powers a strip of 13 LEDs
Function
The three legs can be folded down to be adjusted to any desired height. The legs are held together with a magnetic clasp and uses the weighted hind leg to balance itself.
Slide
Singular slide switch to turn on and adjust brightness.
Construction
The body and legs are manufactured from polypropylene with rubber molds sliding at the base of the feet. A metal insert in the light arm connects the circuit.
